Drops of Peace: The Art of Passionflower

Share
When I was a child, my dad used to make passionflower tincture. He would let it macerate for a month, waiting for each drop to capture the plant’s calming essence.
I remember one afternoon, we were at home when a friend of my dad’s arrived, saying he felt very unwell, like he might faint. My dad, with a huge heart, told him, “Don’t worry, son, everything will be okay.” He immediately took out his passionflower drops and instructed him, “Place three drops under your tongue and rest for five minutes.”
It was like magic: after those five minutes, the man said something incredible but true—he no longer felt unwell. We repeated five more drops, and after half an hour, he was completely fine, as if he had never had high blood pressure. Passionflower is truly powerful for high blood pressure.
My mom also used it. She was very anxious, and every night before going to sleep, she would make a little tea with the plant’s leaves. She would drink it and sleep deeply, without waking up all night. Seeing how a plant could bring such peace filled me with wonder.
Since I was little, I’ve been fascinated by plants and all their benefits. I felt proud watching my dad help people who didn’t have the resources to see a doctor, using only his medicinal knowledge and his love for healing. To me, he was a great example of service, faith, and wisdom in nature.
